Mastodon Super-Heavy Assault Transport

So this has been in my wants list since i saw a friends in the flesh. Its got to really be seen to be appreciated.

My buddy Joe said he had one and he would consider selling it, I said give me first dibs if you do. A few years later here we are

The Mastodon was painted in Salamanders legion colours and honestly done well, I almost didn't want to repaint it. The kit itself was mostly complete, missing a few pieces and had some broken pieces but it wouldn't stop me bringing this sleeping giant back to life!

Pinned the door rams and Magnetised the front and rear doors.
I wasn't going to paint the interior, but thinking most likely, I'll only ever paint one. It made sense to go all out on it.
So much detail in these kits.
Very detailed interior
Its already feeling more like my own.

The kit was mostly superglue together a long time ago I'm guessing and the bond had become brittle, it really did fall apart in my hands whilst I was painting it but that only helped accessing trickerier to reach places.
Let it Glow!
Would it even be me if it didn't have hidden hazard stripes. Health and safety taken seriously in the belly of the beast.

You can't really see much with the top back on.

Convertible version you can see everything still. It's not all gone forever.

The Mastodon fitting in well next to my Thunderhawk.

Weapons on and ready to rock.

The mobile bastion is ready to advance.

Got the Mastodon finished just in time for the Hobby Workshop open day. I took all 10 Titans and the entire legion (that's painted) to their opening day. A proud day for sure.
Massive thanks to my buddy Joe in selling this on. Its such a valued part of my collection. Also massive thanks to my other half Lisa for going halves on it and making it happen!
